Day 1: Around Casablanca and Rabat
Typically, our 10 Days in Morocco, commences with your tranquil arrival at Mohammed V. Casablanca airport. Upon your arrival, we extend a warm welcome to Morocco and provide assistance and transfer to join the group for a tourist visit to the city of Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco. Subsequently, we explore the majestic Hassan II Great Mosque, renowned as one of the largest monuments in the Islamic world. This is followed by a visit to Mohammed V Square, the United Nations Square, and the surroundings of the Royal Palace, before leisurely strolling along the promenade of Ain Diab.
Day 2: RABAT / MEKNES / FES:
The day commences with breakfast, followed by our departure for Fez. En route, we’ll make a stop at the Roman remains of Volubilis and the sacred city of Moulay Idriss I, where it is believed the “founder of Islam” is buried in Morocco. After lunch, our journey proceeds to Meknes, often referred to as “the Moroccan Versailles”, founded by Moulay Ismail in the late 17th century. Notable highlights include Bab Mansour, Shrij Souani, and the old medina. Finally, we continue our trip to Fez, where we’ll check-in at the hotel, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.
Day 3: Let's explore Fez
This day is special for you! The whole day is dedicated to the tourism of Fez, the oldest cultural and spiritual imperial city in Morocco, founded in 790 BC by Moulay Idriss II according to some historical stories. The medieval medina, the El Qaraouiyyin mosque and the sumptuous Nejjarine fountain stand out. The specific lunch is followed by a visit to the “House of Arabia” to observe several artisans who carry out their work reminiscent of ancient practices. Day 4: From Fez through Midelt to Merzouga:
Your breakfast comes first for us. Journey through the charming alpine town of Ifrane and make your way across the scenic Middle and High Atlas Mountains en route to the Sahara Desert. Travel along the lush Ziz Valley, renowned for its expansive palm groves home to over two million date palms and ancient kasbahs. Arrive in Erfoud, where you can unwind or take a refreshing dip in the pool. As the sun begins to set, embark on a magical camel trek through the golden dunes to your desert camp. There, you’ll savor a traditional dinner, enjoy Berber music, and sleep beneath a sky full of stars in cozy desert tents.
Day 5: From Merzouga ,Tineghir to Ouarzazate:
This day kicks off with an early start for our transfer to the captivating Merzouga Dunes, an optional excursion. There, you’ll relish a 1-hour camel ride amidst the stunning sand dunes of Merzouga. Afterward, we return to the hotel for breakfast before embarking on our journey to Tineghir. Along the way, we pass through the sacred city of Rissani, where the ancestors of the Alaouite dynasty rest. Exploring further, we visit the ruins of Ksar Abbar, a 17th-century Kasbah. Continuing on the Tinjdad road, lined with magnificent Kasbahs and palm groves, we indulge in a special lunch. Following this, we venture to the Todra Gorges, known for their impressive bare escarpments. Finally, we press on to Ouarzazate via El Kella M’Gouna and the Dades Valley, where dinner and accommodation await.
Day 6: From Ouarzazate to Marrakesh
Breakfast is the first thing in the morning! We leave for Essaouira. We usually arrive and have lunch, and then we make a panoramic visit of the city with its typical Portuguese port that portrays Moorish and Portuguese art. Highlights include the fishing port and the Skala left by pirates. Optional: 1 hour by boat by sea. Check-in, dinner and stay. (B, D)
Day 7: Let's discover Marrakch
This day is exclusively dedicated to exploring Marrakech, the second oldest imperial city renowned as the “Pearl of the South” and home to the Saadian tombs. Among the city’s prominent landmarks are the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, and the Menara Garden. After returning to the hotel for lunch, we’ll delve into the vibrant atmosphere of the souks and markets, along with the iconic Djemaa El Fna square, offering a plethora of entertainment options. Later in the evening, indulge in a lavish Diffa Fantasia dinner at the renowned restaurant “Chez Ali”, featuring a spectacular fantasy show showcasing camel and horse performances, folk ensembles from various Moroccan regions, and mesmerizing belly dancers. Day 8: From Marrakesh to Essaouira
