3 day desert tour from marrakech to merzouga itinerary :

Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Roses Valley – Dades Valley :

Have breakfast in your Riad first. Our team begins departure our 3 days Marrakech Desert Tour, towards Ouarzazate across the Atlas through Tizi’n’Tichka pass (2,260 meters). The marvelous mountainous range offers a different variety of landscapes and a panoramic view of many hamlets. This keeps track of the outstanding landscape that will take us to the village of Telouet and the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. To be precise, the Kasbah is categorized by the UNESCO as a world heritage.

Our trip continues to reach Ouarzazate, and we have lunch and a visit to Kasbah Taurirt and the cinema studios. The region is populated by Berbers/Amazigh who became sedentary despite the extremely harsh weather conditions. Upon having lunch, we will head for Dades Gorges, moving through the valley of Skoura and visit of neighboring Kasbahs. Then, we go to Kalaat Mgouna via Rose valley and visit Dades gorges. After this long visit, we keep moving on to Toudgha. The overnight and accommodation with dinner and breakfast are in a guest house or Hotel.

Day 2: Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Berber Villages - Merzouga Desert

After having breakfast in your accommodation before we will head to Merzouga via Toudra valley and Tinjdad. Then we arrive in Erfoud and stop for lunch before continuing to Merzouga. We cross the Rissani city and visit the mausoleum of the founder of the Alaouite Dynasty of Morocco, Moulay Ali Cherif. It is located on the southern side of the town. We arrive in Merzouga and use a camel for about one hour and a half to reach Erg Chebbi. You will absolutely admire the most wonderful sunset over the desert dunes. The day of 3 days from marrakech to merzouga finishes with dinner and breakfast will be in a Berber tent situated at the beginning of the dunes.

Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani , Draa valley - Ouarzazate - Marrakech:

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then ride a camel back to your inn in Merzouga. After breakfast and a shower, continue your three-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga.

The return journey begins in Rissani, the former capital of the ancient Tafilalet kingdom and an important center of Alaouite dynasty heritage. Next, travel through the desert scenery toward Alnif, the oasis town of Tazarine, and N’Kob, stopping for lunch along the way.

After lunch, follow the scenic Draa Valley, where palm groves and historic ksars line the route. Pass through the Berber village of Agdz, cross the 1,660-meter Ait Saoune Pass, and continue to Ouarzazate.
