5-DAY MARRAKECH TO FES TOUR

Day 1: Marrakech - Telouet - Ait Benhaddou - Skoura

Depart Marrakech at 8 a.m., driving through the High Atlas Mountains along the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Visit Telouet Kasbah and the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, recognized since 1987. Pass through Ouarzazate, often called the Hollywood of Africa. Continue for 40 kilometers to reach the palm groves of Skoura, where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Skoura - Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Tamtatoucht

From Skoura, travel southeast to the Dades and Todra Gorges, moving through rugged landscapes and mountain views. Stop in Tineghir, the region’s main town, then explore the Todra Valley, known for its oasis and palm groves. Take a guided walk through the palm grove to observe daily life, including women gathering herbs and children riding donkeys. Continue through Todra Canyon, a renowned rock climbing spot, arriving at the Berber village of Tamtatoucht for an overnight stay in an auberge.

Day 3: Tamtatoucht - Amelagou - Erfoud - Merzouga Dunes (Erg Chebbi)

From Tamtatoucht, ascend to 2,000 meters, passing Berber villages in the Ait Hani valley. Continue through Assoul and Amelagou, local centers of the area. Visit Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops, then head toward the Erg Chebbi dunes. Arrive at the heart of the desert and stay overnight in a Berber camp.

Day 4: Erg Chebbi - Merzouga Desert Activities

After breakfast, choose from several activities. Visit nearby villages such as Hassi Labied and Khamlia, where traditional music and dance are part of daily life. Take an off-road drive around the Erg Chebbi dunes to see nomads living in desert tents. In summer, enjoy the hotel pool or climb the dunes just outside your accommodation.

DAY 5: ERG CHEBBI - ZIZ VALLEY - MIDELT - AZROU - IFRANE - FES

After breakfast and a camel ride back to the hotel for a quick shower, begin the drive to Fes. Stop along the route to admire the Ziz Valley’s views. Cross the High Atlas Mountains once again. Have lunch in Midelt, then pass through Azrou and Ifrane, stopping in cedar forests to view wild Barbary monkeys. Continue to the historic city of Fes to end your journey.
