DAY 1 : TANGER – RIF MOUNTAINS – CHEFCHAOUEN
The first day of the Moroccan North-south Tour starts with meeting our guide at Tanger port and making our way to chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, Tour of Chefchaouen : (or Chaouen) in the Rif Mountains, it is founded by the Muslims and Jews who were pushed by Christians on the 15th century. the town was unknown till the 20th century and had remained relatively unchanged for 500 years. It gives the best possible view of what an Andalusian town would look like in the time of the Moors. this city with its narrow medina streets, and white and blue colored houses becomes a tourist destination, it takes its beautiful unique situation since it lies in the middle of the mountains, There are also cafes around the main square and many hotels. DAY 2 : CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – FEZ
Today during the Moroccan North-south Tour we preferred to have our breakfast before traveling to Fes at 10:00 pm. and drive throughout green hills, open vast lands, and wheat fields. Then enjoy a delicious lunch near Ouazane and then continue to Volubilis. It is the best-preserved roman ruins in Morocco. And then make a guided tour inside the roman site, this will take you back to the myths of Rome by the stunning mosaic, streets, columns, and baths, we could not leave the place for its charm. And nearby, there is an old village of Moulay Driss Zerhoune where the founder of the first Arab Islamic dynasty in Morocco is entombed. If there is enough time we prefer to have a mint tea in this town before we go to Fez. After the whole busy day, we must have dinner in the Hotel and then spend our night there. DAY 3: FEZ MEDINA GUIDED TOUR
Today begins with a visit to the medina of Fès at 10:00 Am after having breakfast. then begin with the southern tower and the fortress of the 16th-century face to face with the northern one, a panoramic view over the medieval city is breathtaking. We visit enjoyable cooperative pottery. In order to enhance our knowledge about the making of Moroccan mosaic ”zellij” and the blue pottery of Fez. Then we travel in time back to the medieval period of the city where people still work in small narrow streets, several tiny stalls of all kinds of traditional crafts, and donkeys loaded with supplies are going up and down in the streets of the medina. I feel no sense of direction and time for a while and I could not leave the place for its charm. The medina of Fez is rich in its Islamic monuments: the fascinating old mosques, the University of El-Karaouiyine, and its libraries. All of These elements make Fez the spiritual and cultural capital of the country. And do not forget to enhance this amazing planned tour by having a fast dinner with belly dancers. DAY 4 : FEZ – ERFOUD – ERG CHEBBI DESERT CAMP
On this day of our Moroccan North-South Tour, we start with a delicious traditional Moroccan breakfast. We then venture through the picturesque Middle Atlas mountains, home to the famous Barbary apes in cedar wood forests. In the charming town of Ifran, known for its beauty and ski resorts, we capture stunning photographs and purchase souvenirs. After lunch, we continue our adventure, passing through Medilt, renowned for its apple production. At Ziz Valley, we photograph palm groves and dates. In Erfoud, the capital of Fossils in Morocco, we witness marble craftsmanship. We visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Chref in Rissani, the Alaouite dynasty founder. Later, in Erg Chebbi, we enjoy tea, prepare for our desert camp, and embark on a camel ride to witness a mesmerizing sunset. Overnight, we stay in a cozy Berber tent. Our journey entails 7 hours by car and 2 hours of walking.
DAY 5: FREE DAY DESERT DUNES DISCOVERY
Today will be devoted to meeting nomads gnaoua music, and enjoy having free time to do what we want. Car: 4 hours – Walk: 2 hours
DAY 6 : DESERT CAMP – ALNIF – TODRA GORGE
during the Moroccan North-south Tour on this day, we wake up early to watch the sunrise and ride camels then back to the dunes line. In order to be on time for breakfast and shower at Hotel, after that, we go to Tinjdad and we pull over to see the old underground system of irrigation “khatarat” which is still used in the oasis of Jorf, it is a kind place for lunch in Toudra valley. It has beautiful kasbahs and mountains along 15 km of palm groves. After lunch, we arrive at the spectacular gorges 300 m high and enjoyed a little walk near the river of Toudra, today we took a lot of beautiful pictures. Finally, we preferred to have our dinner before going to sleep in the rooms in the Kasbah hotel. Car: 4 hours -Walk: 2 hours
DAY 7 : TODGHA GORGE – DADES – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE
After savoring a delicious breakfast, we head towards Dades Valley to witness the breathtaking forms of the High Atlas Mountains and its multitude of Kasbahs. The valley’s green fields are adorned with fig, almond, apricot, peach, walnut, and pomegranate trees, creating an enchanting ambiance that distorts our sense of direction and time. Our next stop is Rose Valley, renowned for its production of rosewater and beauty creams derived from the Damascena rose. This aromatic flower is found in luxurious perfumes, skincare products, cosmetics, haircare items, and even medicines. We are intrigued by the tradition of local women collecting rose blossoms during the early morning hours. In May, a festive celebration marks the rose harvest, making it tempting to return to Morocco for this joyful event. As we pass through the old palmery of Skoura, we make our way to Ouarzazate, where our journey involves approximately 3 hours by car and 2 hours on foot.
Day 8 : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech
In the last day of our Moroccan North south Tour we have an optional visit of Taourert Kasbah after enjoying a delicious breakfast, this medina has 3 studios of cinema and beautiful kasbahs . Then we go ahead towards Ait ben Haddou village. We explore the most preserved village of the south of the country, classified as one of world’s tradition by UNESCO in 1987 and a series of movies were made in this village Gladiator , Prince of Persia …We will do some walking inside the village and have a lunch and enjoy its attractiveness then we continue along Ounila valley to reach Telouet Kasbah, a big fort of the Pacha who was the most powerful man of the south. Finally go crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains Pass (Tizi-n-Tichka 2260 m ALT ) to arrive Marrakech.
